HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO 2 OF MY BELOVED BUDDIES IN LC, Ernestine and Elvin.

Yesterday was cooooooolio-carlito-Caribbean-cool. It was awesome. First off, I had to run some errands with my mom; like heading to my uncle's place to give him some stuff, and then to Plaza Singapura to pay my overdue handphone bill. And in the means, I actually went shopping! Got some new shirts from Hang Ten, and the Hawaiian shirt from This Fashion. AND I got my mom to promise me that she'll come back to shop for Christmas clothes.

Then after the errands, she brought me to a buffet at the hotel which she works in. Apparently, they had the 'Japanese Buffet' and because my mom knows that I LOVE Jap food sooo much, she decided to bring me along so that I could eat my heart out. The attention I got there was reaaaally .. I don't know. All my mom's colleagues were popping by the table and going..

them: Oh my.. who's this?
mom: This is my daughter, Jessica. Jess, say hi to Aunt/Uncle so&so
me: Hi! :D

[I'm damn shy around new people, so I don't say anything much except a Hi, and give them the biggest grin in my whole life. Asides from the BLUSH which comes so freaking naturally.]

mom: Yeah.. she's really shy.
them: Oh so cute! Not bad ah.. real pretty. Just like the mother. haha..
mom: haha! No laaa. don't say that.

[then they have their little conversation as they fill my cup with water REALLY slowly]

me: thank you (:
mom: Okay. you guys better get back to work. Wait for nothing kena scolding. *points to some lady sitting at the counter*
them: Okay. See you tomorrow. haha.. *slight bow* Enjoy your dinner! :D

SO nice la! Haha. Love it when I'm treated like a princess. LOL! Okay I can't believe I just typed that. Anyway yeah.. saw this REAL cute waiter who was damn shy when serving me water. HAHA. And another waiter who kept smiling at me whenever he walked past my table. The ladies weren't as nice.. guess they expected something higher. Like seeing me in a tanktop and mini skirt and behaving like how all the other teenagers behave.

Sorry yo, but I just ain't nothing like that.

Then after paying the bill, [it was something like $70+++] I rushed down to Ernie's place for the party. The birthday girl was calling me, Elvin was calling me. Oh boy. Took a bus while struggling through the festive crowd at Little India. Could have sworn that some people were fighting in the streets and all.

At Ernie's place, her buddies were all around, the cake was already cut, AND most importantly, I missed the guys singing "More Than Words" .....sigh. Nonetheless, I called the elders and had some cake before heading out with Andrea. Had to sign in SOMEONE's card. I nibbled on the peppered beef as Verena and Aunt Rina spoke. After Aunt Rina left to cater to the food, Na and I were gossipping about the kids. How they all looked alike. Red and Blue. LOL. THEN Dawn came .. first thing she said to me?

"Eh, you're all dressed up for Hawaiian Night ah? Kekekeke."

Basketcasee.. haha. Then she sat and ate with us.. before deciding on the COOLest idea ever. Singing the HAPPY BIRTHDAY SONG for Ernestine and Elvin .. with PARTS! So I sang the melody, while Dawn and Verena came up with parts. There was one time when Na anyhow whacked the tune, and it went SO well - we all blended together, INSYNC .. and we sounded so DAMN good, I swear my hair stood on end.

Then we tried and tried again, thinking we could do it, but we lost it.

Then Andrea came back and we dragged her along and try catch back the tune. All of us were like, "hear-no-evil" ...hahaha. Still, we couldn't get it. So we decided to give it up and head inside where there was a keyboard. One by one we crept in, before taking over the playroom. Practiced like hell in there. So much so that I almost swore to myself that I was never gonna sing the song EVER again. Ever.

But with all that practice, we perfected it eventually. Parts and all. Even managed to hear the young ones sing. And they surprisingly sounded good. Heh. There was one point where we were recording with Celest when Ernie messaged me on the handphone. Poor girl must've thought all of us left already or something. Woulda been nice to play a prank on her if she didn't spot us in the playroom. Damn. LOL

Then yeah.. we went out, watched SHUTTER - since everyone got bored of the 40 year old virgin. I sat next to Fonz, Dawn sat next to 'Drea, Ernie sat on the OSIM chair, Aloy and Elvin was in the corner. The rest of the guys were up playing on the xbox. Then the kids were on the floor. Blankets, pillows and all. The show didn't even start and Ernie started screaming. LOL

Then the show started. Its supposed to be a scary movie, but with all of them around, it wasn't scary at all! HAHA. Especially Fonz. Cos he was my movie bud, we were practically making fun of everything thruout the entire movie. Hmmm. And in SHUTTER.. everyone laughed at the same scene. Just as how everyone did the other time at Jing's during the steamboat.

*toilet scene*

Tun: *knock*knock* Excuse me, can I have some toilet paper?

[Hand with black painted nails reaches underneath with a roll of toilet paper]

*scary music starts*

[Tun exits the cubicle, then creeps to the cubicle next door. He kicks the door wide open. The 'audience' is expecting to see a ghost of some sort because of the music - but BAM!

Transvestite: *SMILE* Can I poo first?

Then yeah.. shutter was over, and we did the Birthday song though it felt a little awkward cos no body clapped and just continued staring at all of us. Wah liew.. Then Na made it more awkward by asking us to sing the REAL one over and over.. and when we suddenly came up with "happy deepavali" which I know was damn lame... and which got worse because NOBODY laughed. Tough crowd, seriously..

But we did the real deal, Dawn sang with me the parts [so that meant NO keyboard play whatsoever, and was a pure accapella part] dedicated it to Ernie and Elv, and everyone clapped ..... after Na asked them to show a lil bit of appreciation.

Like I said.. tough crowd.

Then Ernie was asked by Na and Dawn to open her presents, starting with Elvin's one. She started freaking out and came up with all this wild thoughts of something jumping out of the box cos Na kept on insisting to open Elvin's boxed parcel first. Eventually, her youngest sister had to do the honours of opening it up cos she REFUSED to, thinking that we set a trap on her or something. LOL. Elvin gave her chocs.. but they weren't just ANY kind of chocs.. it was the one which HE worked on in Poly. Awesome, I'd say.

Then she opened the guys' present. The HOTPINK - Limited Edition - Billabong wallet. Benedict and Aloy were so disappointed when they saw her reaction towards their gift. Poor guys..

Then she opened Steffi's prez - SOCKS. But not just any kind. CONVERSE socks. And one of the pairs had a "ball-ball-thingy" ...? As quoted by Ernie herself. LOL

Then she opened ours [ Elvin, Andrea, Me] .. from TOPSHOP. We remembered this tanktop which she kept an eye on some time back when we went shopping for Celest's gown. So we got that.. then first she read the card, before opening the parcel.. and her first reaction? "OMG! Andrea! Is this the ONE?!" And Andrea went "Ah huh.." And for a second I thought Andrea got the wrong present wrapped up or something till Ernie pulled the piece out of the wrapper.

Wah Liew..

Then Na and Dawn insisted that she put it on for picture taking.. LOL. Hilarious. Then she opened up the present from The Lees...... from MANGO! They got her a dark-purple tee. Sweet.

Then more picture taking before playing games. First game up by Fonz - Murderer. We had fun for awhile, playing that game. I got a feeling Dawn murdered me when I was sleeping the first round. Hmmm.. the second round was damn funny.

Fonz: So Ernie. Who do you think is the murderer?
Ernie: I think its Jess.
me: Eh! Why you think I'm the murderer?
Ernie: I don't know.. I just got this bad feeling its her.

If the whole city was like Ernie, people everywhere would be going to jail. But as she said it, I freaking panicked! Because I WAS the murderer. I was just wondering how she knew. Anyway, then came my turn.

fonz: So Jess. Who do you think is the murderer?
me: I think its Augustine.
fonz: Why?
me: Cos he smirks *Augustine smirks when I say this* whenever people calls him murderer. Like earlier, Elvin said he's the murderer, HE SMIRKED! THERE THERE!! He's SMIRKING! SEE!!

Everyone burst out laughing.

It was bullshitting at its best. I killed Ernie after that when everyone went to sleep. I couldn't have another person testifying against me. But BAM! Someone else suspected me. Can't remember who though. Anyway, we played another round of 'MURDERER' before moving on to Charades. Funny, at some points.. otherwise it was boooooring. Well. Quite. There should have been a neutral person who gave the topics and set the time. Too much competition.

Everyone packed up and left after the game. Dawn was telling me off cos I was so insistent that I walk back by myself. They wanted to throw me in a cab and ride me back. It was crazy. Paying all that money just to send me back when I could have walked back, and all they had to pay was a couple of bucks for their ride home.

Tsk.

Came home and wished Ernie a happy birthday in her tagboard before going to sleep. I was so darn tired. Woke up this morning and heard that my brother quarelled with his gf AGAIN. He left, she left, and now I'll have to take all that stupid senseless nonsense again. Where everything is my fault.

Sigh.. this is one hell of a life.
