My god. Is Hady good or what? Fell in love with him the moment he sang this song. Especially at the last chorus? HAH. He deserves to win Idol.. like I told my mum - can you imagine Rob Thomas singing at a N'day event? Can't right? Precisely why I didn't support Jon but Hady instead. :)

Anyway, have you people ANY idea how hard it is to find for a restaurant or a cafe or a pub in TOWN which plays Ch 5?

Every damn place you go shows nothing but MTV. ESPN. MTV. ESPN.

And you know what's worse? Waitresses deceiving you, saying that they're gonna play SI finals there.. reserving seats with so much trouble, and when you go there 15 minutes before the show starts, another waiter says they can't change the fucking channel.

PFFFFFT.

And its even more embarrassing when you have friends who just leave the table, laughing their nuts off, while the waiter is saying that he can't change the channel and that they only play ESPN and MTV.

And it worsens when you have friends who don't follow instructions accordingly.

Uncle behind counter is owner of the KTV lounge.

I asked B to ask the uncle if their TVs play normal television channels like ch5, ch8.. etc. [i mean, they're KTV. KTV = karaoke. Karaoke = dvd/vcd/LD sets with TELEVISION SETS! television sets = programming the thing to play normal channels. normal channels = SI finals.]

B went to the counter and asked in chinese "uncle, this ktv got tv anot ah?" and started laughing hysterically. Like as if it was a joke. SO OF COURSE THE UNCLE GAVE SOME STUPID RESPONSE LAAAAAH.

Wah, I was so furious. Thank God when we were crossing the road, I caught a glimpse of this restaurant that had a TV which had the familiar '5' logo playing. CHANNEL 5!!!!

Ran across the road. Grabbed a table and sat down. J decided against the idea and wanted to go to Hard Rock Cafe. Which was like a thousand miles away.. So I was thinking, what if they didn't have TVs that played the finals? So I yelled for her to come back. Better to eat some expensive cheena food and watch the finals on tv than go all the way there and they don't have seats or tv sets that play ch5. Hah.

Tried to buy beer but the Aunt was a bit bias. She said she could sell it to B cos B looked older but not to me cos I didn't look the age. Even after I took off my specs. She still refused to sell to me!!!!! URGH. PLEASE. And that was just beer. Wait till she sees how I drink at X'mas. Even B can't hold that much liquor. Pffft.

So there we were.. drinking soft drinks instead, lemon tea, sarsi and green tea. AND cheering like MAD for our idol. Ria and B and Nadz were cheering for Jon. AND I WAS THE SOLE SUPPORTER FOR HADY! J was still cheering for Taufik when he came on TV. LOL.

So, imagine the excitement I had when I found out that Hady won.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

I'm waiting for the day when there'll be a FEMALE idol winner. Damn trend seems to be a guys final every competition.

So yup. That was my SI experience.. as a fan. In Orchard road. ON A BLOODY SCHOOL NIGHT. And about Balcony, that place next to HMV, its nothing THAT special. Been there, went up, saw the place and its just so...... average. Bleagh. Can't believe I added that to my wishlist, wanting to drink and have fun there. ITS SO DAMN AVERAGE!

Thank God I didn't spend my 17th there. Cedele woulda been a better pick.

Now I know that this is some hell of a random entry, but wait! I can only end with a random ending.

I can't wait for next year to check out Giraffe. The restaurant and bar place opposite PlazaSing, near the fountain at the Istana Park.

HAH. It'd be awesome to celebrate the 18th there. OHWEL, we'll see.
