Sunday, February 11

Phew. The day has finally gone by. My results aren't anywhere near fantastic - yeah I know I've seen kids getting 14/15/16/17/18/19 .. The '1' infront is sooooo appealing, I know. I didn't get any of that, I got a 25. But its cool. I still passed, and I'm still eligible for poly (:

I had no f9s on my paper. I generally improved on all my subs [even maths - I was expecting an F9 straight] .. For humanities, I was expecting D7 or C6 considering the shit I wrote for SS and skipping those qns for geog - but hallelujah - I got a B4. Accounts?! Still a bloody shocker man... hahahaha. Day in day out of class I couldn't understand a thing. Zilch. Nada. No. Nothing. The obvious was expected. An F. But incredibly, I still passed! C6. Unbelievable? Believe it. And as for EL, I think the paper was tough this time around cos the highest score anyone got was still an A2 - to my knowledge. And from what I hear, ALOT of people failed EL this time.

So I guess its as good as getting that A1 afterall. *beams and skips away* Anyway, A1, A2.. whatever right? Still an A. (:

And as much as you won't believe it, I'd have to say the results I got was all thanks to the teachers who didn't give up on me. [Even when I gave up on myself long before the papers started] Here's the biggest THANK YOU toooo.. My maths teacher Ms Yam, EL Mr Iaan and Ms "papita", Humanities Mrs TCN and Ms Lee, Science Ms Yam and Mr Immie, and last but not least, Accounts - Mr Ku... who was also my form teacher and who also convinced me to come back to sec 5 to do my O's and graduate with the bloody orange paper. (:

And of course not forgetting the people important in my life. My friends, my friends, my friends, my friends.. You guys are the best. We played, we fooled around, we yelled, we sang, we had our fun and partied even when exams were the week after next and we all shared the pain when we had to cram 5 years worth of information down to the last minute. HAHA. I love you guys. Thanks for dragging me down with you. I don't think I could've done better otherwise.

And last but not least, God. Even though I'm one hell of a sinner, cursing people and skipping masses like no tomorrow. Even as I might've turned my back on church and everything else. He still answers the prayers of a little girl when half the world is snoring and fast asleep. I prayed for a good result. It might not be the best, but good enough does me fine. And indeed, I had my prayers answered. God Rocks. Heh.

SO CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL WHO DID A JOB WELL DONE! (: ...and no, I'm not just talking about the geniuses who made it with the 14/15/16/17/18/19. As long as you passed the big 'O's ..pat your shoulder mate, for you have done your job well.

So I guess everything paid off pretty fine and dandy. Now the only irritating question everyone's asking me before I sleep, when I wake up, when I'm in the toilet, when I'm chewing on breakfast, when I'm looking through the JAE book.. gawd.

Its like that scene in Finding Nemo when all the fishes in the plastic bags jump toward the sea and land up floating on the water.

"Then what?"

That's a question I'll answer on another day.

Cheers everyone! And to those who prayed for me - THANK YOU! God answered your prayers too. (:
