The Ripped Soul

OK. Dunno what to blog about today, but I know I have to say something. I'm practically going nuts here. Can you go insane from lack of social contact? Probably. I know I'm starting to feel like I'm losing my marbles. I need to talk to someone. Say something. Say anything.

So... was browsing facebook and groups and Paramore and shizzam after playing Bejeweled for 5 hours. And waiting for Mafia Wars to refill my energy bar. Got quite shocked when I read the threads about people being dead serious about the band and their music.

I mean, okay, I'm serious about Lady Gaga and I love her music, but I won't condemn anyone that doesn't know the full lyrics to Bad Romance or Poker Face or Paparazzi or whatever. At the time when she wasn't so famous yet, I would naturally go "yeah, that's by Lady Gaga" and they're like "Lady Who-ah?" and all I'd say would be, "Lady Gaga, this craaaaaaazy lady who's gonna be famous one day for sure." And true enough, she was. Is. Will be. Forevs.

But back to Paramore. So the discussion was about people who didn't know Paramore from their first album, or know ANYTHING at all about them, except for the songs "Decode" thanks to Twilight, or "Ignorance" or "Brick by boring brick" thanks to their music videos shown on MTV and Channel V.

What if you didnt get your standing pen tix & some Fakeass people(who likes them bcos of twilight) got them instead?

So.... apparently if you don't know their music from scratch, you're a fake (fan). You don't know the names of the band members? You're fake. Golly.

They'll freaking sing when they do decode AND THEN mumble through the rest of the songs. People who think they are parafans because they like decode because they like twilight ...

Whoaaaaaaaaa. Talk about hardcore.

And then the comments about people laughing at others when the not-so-famous songs start playing.... (because then the 'fakes' would shut up, right?) Sounds like something out of one of my nightmares. Seems like it's a war zone! The real fans VS the newbies! Real, hardcore, crazy, I will kill to see them in person, I will murder for front seats fans VS people like me who listen for the fun of it or who happen to like the group because of the way they sing and play.

Time to dig out lyrics and all of Pmore's albums! Time to memorize lyrics and notes! Time to remember drum beats and drum rolls! Time to visit their site DAILY and blast songs in my ears at 7am! Time to drill and remember who's who and who plays what! Time to be...

a HARDCORE fan!
