I swear I need shopping kakis. OKAY, before you girlfriends get excited, its not under the clothes section - BUT under the electronics section. Browsed through a couple of forums today at some sites, and their advice is NOT to go to Lucky P. in town to buy any electronics stuff cos the sales people cheat locals and tourists alike. One fella got cheated for $1000 just on buying a PSP pack and 2 gmaes! Buy this, buy that.. $1k. Unbelievable? Believe it.

BUT then again... THATS WHERE I FOUND THE GUY WHO OFFERED $320 FOR THE PSP giga pack! ......grr. Though frankly, I didn't like his deal either cos he told me that I would need to bring him MORE customers back. Meaning, I'll have to drag friends to go there and buy stuff. And God knows, maybe even my friends would get cheated. And that's not being a good friend righttt..

But I was thinking what if I just bought and run, know what I mean? $320 for a gigapk is pretty darn good. What if I just bought it, then disappeared from the face of LP? I'd never step another foot into that place again kinda thing.. you think I oughta try?

So yeah.. Die, lah. I know I'm a fussy shopper.. this way cannot, that way cannot..

Then I sent some emails out to some of the more reputable shops, the price is damn .... sigh. Then found another in my price range. $320. But its not a giga pack. Its the value pack. I won't have a 1GB memory stick and I won't have the USB cable [but doesn't matter since I have got the SAME cable for my digicam] ... and that PSP they're selling is in danger of having dead pixels since its recently refurbished by Sony. So I'm completely clueless now.

All in all, I want a cheap PSP [price range below $329] ... and it must be from US region PSP-1001. That's cos I wanna watch videos and movies on UMD which I could get from HMV. If I get the asian or the jap or the china one, I can't do that. Only the US versions can. [Damn irritating right?]... and since my mum's getting it, she hates the idea of me getting a 2nd handed version. So the PSP's gotta be brand new. As for firmware, for those who know and give a shit of what I'm talking about - I don't really care since I'm not gonna play homebrew and whatever yet. I'm sticking to originals until I know what is where and where is what.

Sooooo sigh. Someone please help me?

I don't wanna spend anymore dollars on the Stacker machine.. it's already eaten $21 worth in my wallet. A bigger hole than even I myself expected. :(

Just in case if needed: Differences between a VALUE and a GIGA pack are as follows:

VALUE PACK

Comes with:

PlayStation Portable System
Battery Pack
AC Adaptor with Japanese plug (100-240V)
32MB Memory Stick Duo
Headphone with remote control
Soft case
Hand strap

GIGA PACK

Comes with:

1GB Memory Stick PRO DUO
Soft Case
Ear Phones with Remote Control
USB Cable
Cleaning Cloth
Display Stand
AC Adaptor
Battery Pack

...

PLEASE HELP ME SOMEBODY! I'm going psp-crazy. Last night I didn't sleep till 3:45am just looking up everything... Why the rush? I want my PSP before O's start so I'll have something to look forward to after O's is done with. And with my mum being in her good books which is DAMN rare, I really have to get it by Wednesday.

So my question here is:

Do I go for the PSP Value Pack @ $320 and suffer with a 32MB until I have cash to get a 1GB stick,

or

Do I take the risk @ LP, buy the GIGA PACK there at $320 and avoid walking into that shopping centre for the rest of my life?

Help meee choooooseee...
